Marlaina Teich is one of those rare people born with the talent to design homes that are chic, livable and most of all, reflect their owner's unique personality. Whether contemporary, classic or an eclectic mix, every project Marlaina takes on exudes a fresh and lively energy, making for elegant yet welcoming spaces imbued with her special flair.
Since opening her eponymous firm on Long Island following graduation from The Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design, Marlaina has attracted a loyal and ever-growing following and garnered dozens of editorial pages in such decorating publications such as Better Homes and Gardens, House Beautiful and Woman’s Day. If that weren’t enough, New York Spaces put her on its “10 Top Long Island Interior Designers” list. In addition to print, she’s shared her insights and design tips on numerous television and radio shows including several on WNBC, WPIX, Fox News Network and even Martha Stewart’s highly-rated radio program.
Marlaina’s full-service firm – she recently opened a satellite office in Manhattan- is recognized for its expertise in space planning, furnishings, art, antiques, and project management.
Active in several designer-related organizations, including the American Society of Interior Designers, (ASID) and The Interior Design Society (IDS), Teich’s latest endeavor is her role as a founding member of the Designers and Builders Alliance of Long Island, a coalition of top designers and builders that raises funds for local charities. She has current projects from the East Coast to the West Coast and thrilled to share her talents with the Christopher Kennedy Compound and Modernism Week.
